As I struggled with my mental health that school year, photography was a great way for me to release that stress. While shooting or developing in the darkroom, I would forget about everything else. When exploring all these crazy cool places that made me so happy, I decided one day to share my photos with everyone. During this time, I completely focused on the task at hand and what I could create next.

My friends were living in the places where I used to live and had never been to where I am now. Now that my photography shows the world I am still alive and free; it’s also inspired people to explore and even sparked a few photography careers. It’s awesome how so many people can be so connected over a picture or an image that inspires them.

My idea of a nightmare used to be taking a picture of someone stranger because I’m introverted and suffer from social anxiety! If you visualise a stressed person or look at a picture of a stressed person, you will feel stressed.
